Road trip!

For an explanation of Scarlet's hesitance here if you've never been around Las Vegas or a similar area;
The attitude to driving in the rain in Las Vegas is very comparable to driving in the snow in the South: You Don't Do It.
Flash floods are a very real issue. While I was living in Summerlin, literally every time it would rain there would be no less than three different people commenting on being stuck until it was over.

No driving in the rain? Huh. That actually makes sense...

Speaking of the South, I can confirm that people 'round here go crazy when it rains. Not as crazy as the day after we get a half inch of snow, but apparently, folks aren't as aware of the dangers of flash flooding and wet roads as they are in the desert... So many stalled cars. Also, speeding. (-.- )

@WingFreak: Indeed, it is unfortunately part of the southern mentality to refuse any and all recommendations on how to drive. I have lost count of the number of cars I've seen wrecked after a little rain shower

Ah. Rain. The cause of much happiness and pain. Especially if you live in what is basically a desert.
